Join me, James Afshar (E-RYT) for a week-long getaway in the lush green mountain tops at one of Costa Rica's premier destinations. Breathe in 'pura vida' (pure life) during your stay and enjoy your journey of inner exploration and outward adventure. Our retreat center spans more than 8 acres at about 5000 ft. above seal level, surrounded by coffee plantations overlooking Costa Rica's Central Valley, located just about twenty minutes from Costa Rica's Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO).
For 8 days and 7 nights, we will immerse ourselves with your choice of morning or evening sadhana (Yoga practice) in one of the Retreat Center's Yoga Halls, overlooking the majestic Central Valley. You can't get any closer than this to pure nature, and bask in the experience of a lifetime!

INCLUDED IN YOUR PACKAGE
Transportation
Shuttle service to pick you up from Juan Santamaria Interanational Airport (SJO) on your day of arrival and return you to the same airport on the day of your departure. This will be directly to and from the Retreat Center.
This service will also be provided if you choose to partake in any of the full or half-day tours. We will have an experienced driver as well as our own tour guide.
Meals
Starting with dinner on the night of your arrival (July 08), and ending with breakfast on the day of your departure (July 15), we will have three daily meals, wonderfully prepared and served, providing you ample time in the morning, afternoon, and evening to enjoy.
These delicious North American and Costa Rican style dishes are made from fresh local produce, regional purveyors, and served buffet style featuring both vegetarian, pescatarian and chicken dishes to dazzle your taste buds and nourish your body. Most diets can be accommodated as long as the kitchen is notified in advance.
Complimentary coffee, tea, and filtered water are available throughout the day.
Yoga
Your choice of morning or afternoon/evening practice in one of the four beautiful Yoga Shalas, onsite. Times to be specified at a later time, once our group has been able to fully commit to this getaway.
On the day of arrival, there will be only one evening class, and on the day of departure, there will be one morning class offered.
If the majority of our group goes on a tour, Yoga class time may vary for that day - it could be an early morning practice prior to departure, or after arrival from tour.
Accommodations
There are seven types of room styles, which are scattered about the meticulously landscaped grounds of the Retreat Center, each designed to delight your viewing pleasure with either a lush garden view rich in foliage, or an epic mountain view. These range from charming suites (3 available) with wraparound porches to stylish room options and A-Frame cottages.

Treatments available during the week of your stay will be posted on the bulletin board at The Wellness Center. All bookings are scheduled on-site on a first come, first serve basis. Many of the therapists are available on a rotating schedule, so not all therapies are on offer at the same time. Treatment prices range from $115 – $270. Please be advised that any spa services canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a cancellation fee up to the full price of the treatment.

Please Remember, This is Your Retreat!
I encourage you to partake in some of the scheduled guided tours, activities, and Yoga, but more importantly, trust your intuition and simply rest and relax if you like. Whether it's going for a dip in the pool to enjoy a few lazy laps, reading a good book you've been putting off for the right moment, or taking advantage of the on-site Spa which offers an array of massage and body treatments.
The wine and juice bar in the dining hall stocks Costa Rican and Central American beers, sulfite-free, organic wines and bottled water. It is also the place for fresh smoothies, custom-blended chai and organic wheat grass elixirs (made from wheat grass grown in-house).
You can explore the Costa Rican nature by taking a mindful walk and enjoying a bit of photography. The grounds hold dozens of species of orchids and have been certified as a conservation property by the National Ministry of Environmental Ecology.
